Hi, my name is Dave Glassanos and thanks for stopping by my site. There’s quite a few websites on the internet and I’m humbled that you’re taking the time to read what I have to say.

I have been programming professionally for over a decade. Throughout most of my career I’ve built scalable web applications for consumer focused brands such as Groupon, NatureBox, and Out Of Office. I’ve occaisionally worked on enterprise focused products while working at HelloSign and LettuceBox. I’ve built systems from the ground up and maintained legacy applications and have amassed a wealth of knowledge along the way.

I have so much more to learn still, but I want to use this small slice of the internet to share what I’ve learned so far, because it could be helpful to other programmers who are navigating their careers.

My goal with this website is to share my knowledge in the form of technical tutorials, non-technical career advice, and general commentary on the programming industry when I feel like I have something meaningful to say.

I also want to use this space to talk about things outside of programming, because having a life outside of work is not only healthy, it’s necessary for personal growth and mental health.

I’ll occaisionally write about whatever hobbies I’ve currently thrown myself into, because the way I learn is to write things down and teach other people. Right now my current interests revolve around woodworking, home improvement, cocktails, cooking, and macro economics / modern monetary theory. Hopefully I can teach you some new things while I learn them myself.

That’s all for now, so thanks for reading this far.
